American Express Middle East has won the award for the Best Corporate Card in the Middle East at the annual Smart Card Awards Middle East held recently in Abu Dhabi.

American Express Middle East was recognised for offering the Middle East’s most compelling corporate card, with its excellent features and market share being key factors in winning the award, a statement said.

“We are delighted that the American Express Corporate Card has been recognised with a prestigious award,” said Mazin Khoury, chief operating officer, American Express Mena region, who received the award at the event held alongside Cards Middle East, the largest cards and payment event in the region.

In the past couple of years when the global economic downturn continued to present significant challenges to businesses in the region, the ability of the Corporate Card to help companies drive significant savings with their corporate expenses has never been more important.”

The annual Smart Card Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of retail banks, multinational organisations and government ministries in developing the region’s smart card industry.
