Bahrain plans new spending cuts

MANAMA, December 8, 2015

Bahrain’s government is gearing up to make additional spending cuts, with a new cap on borrowing approved by MPs referred to His Majesty King Hamad for ratification.

It follows parliament’s belated approval of a law first tabled in 2007 that limits public debt at 60 per cent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
