MEC, Al-Rakaez ink agreement

The Middle East Complex for Engineering, Electronics and Heavy Industries (MEC), an agent for LGE products in Jordan, has signed an agreement with Al-Rakaez Investments Company for delivery of LG's latest display products at Al-Rakaez’s “Quality Suites.”

The agreement is part of MEC's efforts to magnify the company's technical excellence and enhance its customer base, a company statement said.

Set up with a registered capital of JD10 million ($14 million) in 2006, Al-Rakaez Investments Company is currently executing a number of notable real-estate projects in Amman.

It is now setting up a 4-star suites complex, the first of its kind in Jordan to echo the most advanced, sophisticated architectural styles.

MEC will provide Al-Rakaez’s “Quality Suites” project with the latest of LG’s LCD and plasma monitors and DVD players.

MEC chairman Osama Al-Khalili, representative of LG Electronics GM in the Levant Vany King and chairman of Al-Rakaez Investments Company Mazen Eyas signed the agreement.

The deal provides MEC with the exclusive privileges to furnish Al-Rakaez 4-star suites with LG’s state-of-the-art technology, incorporated in the plasma and LCD monitors and DVD players.

These technological sets, packed with innovative techniques and solutions, will certainly meet the customers’ aspirations for luxury, entertainment and deep sense of innovation.

Al-Rakaez suites will provide residents with distinctive tourist services, and superior entertainment. The Company is furnishing these suites with the latest of interior designs and furniture modes.

Al-Khalili welcomed the agreement with Al-Rakaez, noting its significance in enhancing the relationship between LG, MEC, and the Jordanian hotel and touristic sectors.

“The agreement reflects the deep trust with which Al-Rakaez Company is regarding LG products, well-known for their outstanding designs, innovative techniques, and competitive offers,” he noted.

“We, at the MEC, are fully aware of the needs of the local hotels, among other businesses, to cope up with the modern living styles, notably the digital display technology,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
