Bahrain earmarks $13m for housing repairs

Bahrain has allocated BD5 million ($13.26 million) for 2011-2012 to support urban and rural development projects and improve living standards of low-income households.

The Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Ministry is now considering 500 applications to help beneficiaries with housing repairs, extensions and insulations, following directives from HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, said minister Dr Juma Al Ka’abi. – TradeArabia News Service
