Domopan Qatar, one of Qatar’s leading construction and industrial houses, is offering locally-manufactured fiber gypsum boards (DomoGypsum) for the first time in the country.

Domopan brought in Italian experts to erect and launch the manufacturing plant, said the company.

The ISO and CE certified manufacturing process adds to the quality of the eco-friendly boards which have proved to be hugely popular in country for their durability and competitive pricing, it said.

Prestigious projects of Qatar Foundation, Ras Gas, Pearl Island and many other locations have incorporated Domopan Fiber Gypsum Boards as the solution for their high quality internal partitions, it said.

“Qatar has become the real estate developer’s dream,” said a senior executive of  Domopan. “With projects sprouting all over the country to ready Qatar for the 2022 World Cup, we believed it was prudent to start producing regularly used construction material here in the county. 

“Not only does the fiber gypsum board meet stringent international standards, but the fact they are manufactured here makes them significantly more competitively priced than the imported boards. Having our manufacturing facility and team here in Doha has made us a first-choice for both consultants and contractors in Qatar, who have long suffered from supply-chain and communication problems with manufacturers based outside of Qatar.”

The DomoGypsum boards are simple to install, and flexible enough to be adapted to most architectural needs. 

In addition, the boards also have the following specifications: Fire resistant (2 hours as per Qatar Civil Defense); acoustically insulated up to 62 db (tested & certified in New Zealand); water resistant; light weight; eliminates need for plastering; and fiber reinforced – eco friendly .

DomoGypsum is approved by Qatar’s General Administration of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior and recognised for its high resistance to heat.  In addition to being manufactured in Domopan’s own ISO-certified factories, the boards are regularly tested abroad to ensure that quality is not compromised, the company said. – TradeArabia News Service
