80 firms ‘violated summer work ban’ in Bahrain

MANAMA, August 25, 2015

Legal action is set to be taken against 80 firms who have violated Bahrain’s summer work ban. The ban, which prohibits all outdoor work between midday and 4pm in July and August, was first introduced in 2007 to protect the country’s workforce from potentially fatal heat-related medical conditions, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
