Akar, a leading expert in the fields of electromechanical works and landscaping, said 2015 was a succesful year for the company as it delivered two key projects in the Gulf region - Meydan Heights Villas in Dubai (UAE) and Khasab Hotel in Musandam (Oman).

Meydan Heights, located in Nad Al Sheba, is spread over 261,000 sq m and featues 528 villas with a clubhouse catering to Emirates airline staff and crew. These villas were constructed in two phases and Akar was awarded the MEP works for 222 villas (Phase Two) directly by Meydan.

Akar completed all MEP works in record time and delivered the project to the client as per the schedule, said a top official.

Its other big win last year was Khasab hotel, located in the beautiful and picturesque Musandam, a preferred holiday destination for the GCC residents and European expats.

The four-star hotel is an eco-friendly project constructed in compliance with Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) requirements, having achieved a silver rating for the quality of build.
