UOWD wins leadership award

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) has won the best business school leadership award at the recently held Asia's Best B-School Awards in Singapore.

The awards were presented by CMO Asia, an organisation dedicated to high level knowledge exchange, in association with the CMO Council as strategic partner and Stars of the Industry Group as research partner.

“The awards recognise the contribution being made by B-schools in shaping management thinking within Asia as the continent continues to grow in importance in global economic affairs,” said Dr Arijit Sikdar, acting dean, faculty of business and management, UOWD, who accepted the award at the awards event at Suntec City.

“At UOWD we are proud of our achievement as a leader and role model in contributing towards the development and dissemination of management knowledge that is helping our graduates and their employers to compete on the global stage more effectively,” he added.

Asia's Best B-School Awards are presented to individuals and institutions which have surpassed several levels of excellence and have set an example of being a role model providing exemplary leadership, building institutions through leadership, innovation, and academic and industry interface. – TradeArabia News Service
