Dubal inks UAE recruitment deal

Dubai, February 6, 2011

Dubai Aluminium Company Limited (Dubal) has signed a MoU with Bait Al Khair Charity Association, a Dubai-based charitable organisation that focuses its efforts on providing support for UAE nationals.

Dubal, a state-owned enterprise whose Jebel Ali operation ranks among the world’s largest single-site primary aluminium smelters, said it is committed to recruiting and training nationals thereby contributing to the emiratization of industry.

Commenting on the development, Khalid E Buhumaid, vice president (Corporate Relations & International Affairs) and official spokesperson of Dubal, said, "We are proud to take this step as it demonstrates how much we care for our society and is one of the ways in which we can fulfil our corporate social responsibilities toward our nation and people."

"We have chosen to support this category of individuals so as to provide them with opportunities to integrate into society and become productive in terms of our economy," he noted.

Abdeen Taher Al Aawadi, general manager of Beit Al Khair Society, said the organisation values Dubal's initiative as it will have considerable impact on its services to the society.

"We sincerely hope that other companies will consider Dubal as a role model by following in their footsteps in terms of supporting UAE Nationals," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
