Du signs up for UAE training initiative

The private office of Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has signed up UAE telecom operators du as one of the strategic partners for its training programme.

The ‘Majid Bin Mohammed UAE Nationals Training Initiative’ aims to develop, establish and enhance the career prospects of young Emiratis by providing talented them with the opportunity to enhance their vocational skills, knowledge and expertise at leading multinational and national firms.

Marwan Juma Bin Beyat, general manager of The Private Office of Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Fahad Abdulrahman Al Hassawi, chief human resources and shared services officer, du, signed the deal at a ceremony held in The Private Office.

As part of the program, du will train Emiratis in fields which will include technology security, risk management, IT and marketing.

“It is our mission to develop our nation and its people, to achieve the pinnacle of their capabilities and allow them to become successful in whatever field they choose to work,” said Bin Bayat.

“International and national companies have joined the training initiative as strategic partners in order to provide candidates with ‘best in class’ training and potential career opportunities in the sector and industry of their choice,' he remarked.

'Du, as a leading homegrown company in the UAE, is considered as a great strategic partner for this programme due to the high levels of dedication it demonstrates towards furthering the prospects of our country’s next generation of leaders side by side to all country organizations,' Bin Bayat added.

Commenting on the tieup, Al Hassawi said this was an exciting initiative for fostering emergent talent in the UAE.

'We are proud to be aligned with The Private Office on this programme, which reflects the UAE leadership’s vision on Emiratisation,' he stated.

“We are eager to encourage young Emiratis to develop their talents, and are pleased that we will be able to provide them the opportunity to learn with our highly knowledgeable colleagues. They will undoubtedly have an invigorating, enlightening experience working with us,” he added.

The graduates and students inducted into the programme will work in a variety of fields, including finance, business advisory, marketing, media, and other key sectors in the UAE, said Al Hassawi.-TradeArabia News Service
