Tamkeen inks training deals with 5 firms

Bahrain’s labour fund Tamkeen has signed agreements with five training providers for the Tamkeen Talent Management Programme.

The agreement stipulates that the training institutes will provide professional certificates of international standards and extensive workshops to be delivered in both Arabic and English for leadership management and human resources to support private sector enterprises in these functions.

The programme will see the participation of current company owners and executives.

The training providers will conduct the programmes to engage beneficiaries, including supervisors, managers and business owners to benefit from these talent development programmes and to meet their business needs.

The programmes will lead to competency enhancement and productivity improvement with an ultimate return on individuals and corporate development.

The training providers will be the Bahrain International Retail Development Centre in collaboration with Wilson Learning and SHRI Singapore, Third Wave International in collaboration with Deakin Prime Australia, Al Moalem Institute in collaboration with Al Bateel Institute for Training and Consultation and the American Association for Management and Consulting, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance in collaboration with the Institute of Leadership and Management and the Chartered Management Institute and Golden Trust Institute in collaboration with the Human Resources Teaching Institute of the US.

All training providers are among the top leading training and consultation providers who have a proven track record in the field and are well recognised academically and professionally in providing advanced employment and training services.

The programme's cost is BD2.895 million ($7.68 million) and will run over a period of four years. It targets 2,400 current employees and will commence in early 2012.

It is a multifaceted programme focusing on corporate management, strategic planning, change management, leading and managing people, marketing and decision-making management and challenges solving.

It also includes many disciplines in the field of developing human resources management like performance management, training and development, recruitment and screening and employees compensations.

The Programme will also shed light on how to deal with the Bahraini labour law alongside quality systems of human resources management. – TradeArabia News Service
