Bahrain to implement summer work ban

Manama, May 26, 2012

A two-month ban on outdoor work during the hottest hours of the day in Bahrain will again come into force this summer, said a senior government official.

“The midday break will be enforced from July 1 for outdoor work, especially in the construction sector, considering the hot weather conditions,” Labour Minister Jameel
Humaidan told the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

This year the ban coincides with Ramadan, but the minister vowed that would not affect worksite inspections.-TradeArabia News Service
