Bahrain plans new curricula for KG students

Bahrain is to roll out a new curricula for kindergarten students, starting from the new education year, said a report citing the kingdom's education minister.

Apart from inculcating moral values, it will aim to promote linguistic, mathematical, scientific and social concepts, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication, citing Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi.

Drawn up by specialists and teachers, the new curricula will focus on five themes – “I am in Kindergarten”,  “Bahrain, My Homeland”, Family and Home”, “Animals”, and “Communication and Interaction”, the report added.

The ministry will soon start distributing new textbooks as well as a guide for parents on ways to help children deal with them, the report added.-TradeArabia News Service
