Senaat signs up as industrial partner of Tawdheef

ABU DHABI, January 31, 2017

Senaat, one of the largest industrial investment holding companies in the UAE, has announced its participation in Tawdheef 2017, the UAE’s leading recruitment event, which opened in Abu Dhabi yesterday (January 30).

Tawdheef, which concludes tomorrow at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, provides a platform for students and young professionals to meet with recruiters from a wide range of industries, reported Wam, the Emirates official news agency.

The event played a key role in enabling Senaat to successfully place 467 Emiratis across the group over the past two years, a significant chunk of the 1, 247 Emiratis who had been retained during the period.

This year, representatives from Senaat’s portfolio companies, including Emirates Steel, NPCC, Ducab, Agthia, Arkan and Al Foah, will also participate in the leading recruitment event. Senaat and its portfolio firms are sponsoring Tawdheef as part of the commitment to showcase to Emirati talents the UAE’s industrial sector, often recognised as one of the fastest growing sectors of the country.

Mahmood Al Hameli, senior vice president of Business Support for Senaat, said, "Senaat’s human development programmes show our commitment to developing great employees as well as excellent citizens. Over the past two years, Senaat has retained 1,247 Emirati nationals, a demonstration of our commitment to creating opportunities for local talent to thrive, and for them to build, develop and lead the industrial sector in the UAE.”

"We take a long-term approach in our recruitment efforts, and understand that our current investment in human capital programmes such as Tawdheef will create long-term benefits for our group and our country in the years to come," he added.

Senaat has a target of employing 2,168 Emiratis across the group by 2020, which will account for 32 percent of its workforce.
