Bahrain hosts debut AlMabarrah youth forum

The inaugural youth forum organised by AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation with focus on the effect of leadership, entrepreneurship and volunteerism in developing the youth, ended on a successful note in Bahrain.

The forum, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, concluded yesterday (April 21) at the Gulf International Convention Centre.

The debut forum had the backing of strategic partners Tamkeen and the Gold sponsors: Al Salam Bank – Bahrain, Securities & Investments Company (SICO), and APM Terminals.

It was aimed at promoting the development of young Bahrainis and encouraging them to innovate across three main topics of the forum which was leadership, entrepreneurship and community service.

The event was attended by prominent Bahraini and Gulf figures such as Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Youth and Sports Hisham Bin Mohammed Al Jowder,  a writer and businessman from Saudi Arabia Khaled Al Khudair, and media and social activist from the UAE Khalid Al Ameri.

The forum highlighted the success stories and also held discussion sessions and workshops in several dedicated areas such as creativity box, the dialogue garden, the activities area and the discussion platform.

Through its integrated program, the forum provided an exciting and engaging experience for young people and gave them an opportunity to communicate with inspirational models.

The participating youth also learned about AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, its programs and the available opportunities aimed at investing in the potential of Bahraini youth and achieve all their ambitions at academic and professional levels.

Board of Trustees' chairperson of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa lauded the contributors and volunteers for organising the forum in an excellent manner and for providing a useful educational experience for Bahraini students and the youth.

"AlMabarrah AlKhalifia’s vision is focused on achieving the desired excellence for every Bahraini citizen to become an active member of the society, capable of enhancing channels of communication and interaction that is in line with the vision of Bahrain 2030 as the Foundation continues to commit itself to strengthening the educational sector," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
