Esol to open new American school in Bahrain
MANAMA, June 22, 2017
Dubai-based Esol Education, a leading organisation specialising in the establishment and management of international schools around the Middle East and Mediterranean, will be opening a new American school in Bahrain in September of 2019.
The move underscores the organisation’s commitment to developing a high level of education in the region, in keeping with its history of operating leading international schools in the Gulf region, said a statement from Esol.
The new school will follow in Esol Education’s tradition of providing a challenging educational program delivered by a talented and dedicated faculty in a caring student-centred environment, it stated.
Esol Education had earlier announced plans to launch a similar institution in Dubai.
The planned opening of the new schools in Bahrain and Dubai will be a major milestone for the organisation, following closely after its entry into East Asia in 2016 with the opening of American School Hong Kong (ASHK), it added.
The new school planned for Bahrain will offer a comprehensive and challenging American educational programme modelled on Esol Education’s highly successful American schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Egypt, and Cyprus, said the statement.
The campus will be designed to facilitate collaboration and project-based learning and will include generous IT resources, extensive athletic facilities, and customized learning spaces for visual and performing arts, it added.
Like a number of its sister schools in other locations, the new American school in Bahrain will offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) as an option for students in Grades 11 and 12, it said.
Walid Abushakra, chairman and superintendent, Esol Education, said: “Over the past 40 years we have built a strong reputation of educational excellence in the world of international education.”
“With our first school in Bahrain, we are looking forward to setting new standards in American and international education, delivering value for parents who are looking to provide their children with a world-class education and a pathway to leading global universities,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
