Bahrain Secretary Association launches training programme

MANAMA, August 19, 2017

The Bahrain Secretary Association has launched a training programme which aims to develop the skills of Bahrainis working in the executive secretarial field and office management.

The programme provides participants with the latest experiences and introducing them to international practices in this changing field, especially those related to the optimal usage of ICT in office work.

For this purpose, the Bahrain Secretary Association signed a memorandum of understanding with ThinkSmart Institute, Microsoft’s Gold Learning Partner, under which both sides will coordinate the organisation of training courses at varying levels to suit the different needs of Bahraini youth who wish to obtain a job in the field of office work, or to advance their career positions.

President of the Bahrain Secretary Association Shahla Esbai said that this ambitious agreement falls within the framework of the Association's commitment to developing secretarial work in Bahrain. This is of value especially since secretarial work has come to play an important and vital role in executive organisations of all sizes and activities, assisting decision-makers in achieving the organisation’s objectives.

Esbai called on all Bahrainis wishing to develop their skills in the field of office work to communicate with the Bahrain Secretary Association and to look through the details of the offered training programmes. She pointed out that the secretarial field is rich with opportunities available to those suitably qualified.

Ahmed Attiya Al Hujairi, CEO of ThinkSmart, stated that the orientation of the Institute’s offered courses towards the secretarial sector coincides with significant developments in this field. “A secretary has now become responsible for providing good information services to all departments in the workplace, contributing to rapid decision-making and sound planning,” he said.

Al Hujairi pointed out that the ThinkSmart Institute, in cooperation with the Bahrain Secretary Association, would adapt the offered courses to suit the needs of the secretarial and office management staff. He added that the training courses available to Bahrainis include a wide range of professional fields, ranging from basic courses in computer systems, up to advanced specialist courses. – TradeArabia News Service
