MANAMA, November 18, 2018

FinMark Communications is set to join hands with Bahrain's labour fund Tamkeen, Bahrain Islamic Bank (BiSB) and leading telecom services company Zain Bahrain to host a key forum of the Women’s Professional Leadership Initiative (WPLI).

The forum entitled “Activate Your Potential,” will be held tomorrow (November 19) from 5pm to 8pm at the Zain Bahrain headquarters in the Seef Area.

The evening’s programme, which is open to all male and female developing professionals, will focus on highlighting the tools and resources young professionals need and can leverage to further progress towards career success and growth, said the organisers.

The keynote speaker will be Farah Fostouk, the managing director and CEO of Lazard Gulf, and founder of Reach, the first non-profit organisation dedicated to the mentorship of women professionals in the Middle East.

Fostouk will be sharing her experience with the audience focusing on the importance and role that mentorship in particular could play.

Her remarks will be followed by an interactive panel discussion with participation from senior business leaders who will give insight and provide recommendations for aspiring young professional leaders on how to accelerate professional growth and activate their potential.

The panel comprises Dana Bukhammas, the director for Human Resources at Zain Bahrain; Joe Abourous, the senior consultant at AM Power; Dana Buhiji, the chief human resources officer at National Bank of Bahrain and Ahmed H. Janahi, the manager of community engagement and customer engagement and support at Tamkeen.

The discussion will be moderated by Dawood Al Ashhab, the assistant general manager for human resources and general services at BiSB, and an active mentor and member of the steering committee of WPLI.

On the upcoming event, Zahraa Taher, the managing director of FinMark Communications, said: "We are delighted to be holding another event as part of a series of programmes launched by WPLI to support the professional growth and development of young female and male business leaders in Bahrain."

"There is an enormous amount that promising young professionals can learn from their more established peers and leaders of Bahrain’s business community," stated Taher.

"These events are aimed at making the most of the talent and resources that young professionals have around them and as a platform to enable more seasoned professionals to share knowledge, experience and practical advice on how to achieve career advancement," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
