CIEH names new Middle East director

Dubai, May 5, 2011

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), the leading provider of food, health and safety training, has appointed Abdul Rashid as director and general manager for its Middle East operations.

Rashid will focus on further developing the CIEH’s Middle East commercial activities and setting up a Dubai office to provide the region’s clients outstanding customer service.

The CIEH already has a number of clients in the region, and provides accredited food hygiene, health and safety, fire safety and environmental protection training courses.

Rashid was most recently regional director - Middle East, at Diversey Gulf, Consulting and Training Division, prior to which he was head of the Food Safety Unit at the Dubai Municipality, Food Control Department.

“Abdul’s leadership, experience, and energy will bring tremendous value to the CIEH’s continued growth and public health policy impact in the Middle East,” stated Frank Post, executive director of Commercial Services at the CIEH.-TradeArabia News Service
