Gulf Air backs 'Think Pink Bahrain'

Manama, October 31, 2011

Gulf Air, as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives, has joined hands with the ‘Think Pink Bahrain’ movement for the third consecutive year, to raise breast cancer awareness in the Kingdom.

A sponsorship agreement to support this cause was signed on Sunday at the airline’s headquarters in Muharraq by Gulf Air deputy CEO Maher Al Musallam and Think Pink chairwoman Jules Sprakel.

Through the sponsorship, Gulf Air will support the Think Pink Bahrain team to travel across carrier’s network and do research that would help bring an end to this deadly disease affecting millions of people around the world.

Gulf Air also participated in a number of the campaign’s events, such as the Think Pink Gala, held last Friday at the Gulf Hotel and Convention Center.

Sprakel expressed to Al Musallam her appreciation for the national carrier’s support to the campaign and highlighted the important role Gulf Air plays in supporting CSR initiatives.

'We hope the fruitful partnership would continue in the future,' she added.-TradeArabia News Service
