NHS patient wristband supplier plans UAE foray

Dubai, January 20, 2014

UK-based Brenmoor, a leading supplier of identification wristbands to hospitals in Britain, is taking its technology to the healthcare market in the Middle East.

Brenmoor will be showcasing its full range of printable patient wristbands and blood bag tags, which are the most widely-used of their kind in the UK, at the upcoming Arab Health Exhibition in Dubai.

It is the largest healthcare exhibition in the Middle East and attracts over 80,000 visitors across the four days.

Brenmoor said it is looking to meet with hospital representatives and distributors from the Middle East to discuss the advantages of using its products at the expo.

Its range of identification wristbands were designed following input from NHS staff and have been shown to reduce errors and improve patient care through their enhanced legibility and resistance to soaps and water, said the company.

Brenmoor supplies over 70 per cent of UK hospitals with patient identification products. Products on show at the exhibition will include its MHRA compliant blood bag tag and hypoallergenic SKIN ID labels.

Brenmoor is looking to extend its distributor base to countries which it is not yet working in, particularly the UAE. The company will also be using the show to meet with its existing partners in order to discuss further business opportunities, said a senior official.

"Arab Health is an excellent opportunity for Brenmoor to show end-users from across the Middle East the benefits of using our products," remarked Michael Moorhouse, the director of Brenmoor. Arab Health will run from January 27 to 30 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

"Our track record in the UK with the NHS shows how using our products is hugely beneficial to everyday hospital working and can improve patient care. A Brenmoor printed hospital wristband is applied to a patient somewhere in the world every four seconds to ensure that they stay safe and remain positively identified," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
