RAK, Abu Dhabi hit by hail, rain

DUBAI, November 8, 2014

Certain parts of the UAE were hit by hail and rain on Saturday due to the extension of a low pressure area that started on Friday evening, which caused blowing dust and reduced visibility, said a report.

Unstable weather continues to envelop the country with Ras Al Khaimah witnessing hail and rain, while capital Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Liwa area also experienced showers, reported the Gulf News.

The national weather bureau warned of rough seas on Sunday and cautioned the public against heading out to the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.

The weather forecaster said there has been temperature drop of around five degrees Celsius over the past week. The maximum temperature in internal areas will be between 29C and 31C and between 26C and 27C or 29C on the coast, it added.
