Doha, May 4, 2011

The Jersey Group, one of Qatar’s flagship industrial groups, is showcasing its innovative building solutions and top-of-the-line products at the ongoing Project Qatar Expo in Doha.

The global trade exhibition for construction technology, building materials, equipment and environmental technology, which opened on Tuesday will run till May 5.

Jersey Group, which is part of GSSG Holdings, said its trading; manufacturing and contracting divisions are on hand to showcase the new global brands along with the latest products manufactured by Jersey’s companies in Qatar.

Pradeep Rajan, CEO of Jersey Group, said, ‘With Jersey established in Qatar over 16 years ago, we bring to the market credibility and a strong track record for delivering high quality products and services to the local industry.'

'We achieve this through alliances with the world’s top brands to bring innovation to the market and by producing goods ourselves to match standards in Europe and the US. Our recent substantial investment in factories here have made this possible,' he noted.

'In this way we are able to showcase a sustainable range of building solutions that are ideally suited to the Qatar market,' Rajan added.

Jersey, he said, had this year made a massive QR42 million ($11.5 million) investment into its brand new fully automated, state of the art glass factory, a first for Qatar.

'Al Khamees Glass will now be leading the market and introducing green concepts in insulated glass production to match latest environmental specifications,' said Rajan.

Qatar Kwik Span’s UPVC doors and windows boast stylish but cost effective wooden finishes for the private villa market, using the most advanced machinery for UPVC production – another first for Qatar, he added.

According to him, Jersey's trading division has brought top of the line international products into Qatar through alliances for local representation.

'Of these, McQuay International, a leading brand in the air conditioning industry, offers a range of industrial ACs which includes low power consumption magnetic bearing chillers that offer huge power savings and qualifies as ‘green product’.

'Low-end McQuay air conditioning units are in high demand for villa compounds and small office buildings, as split units are ideal for the local market,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
