BT Al Saudia launches managed security services

RIYADH, March 27, 2018

British Telecom Al-Saudia (BT Al Saudia), a leading system integrator, professional and managed services provider, has launched its next-generation MSS (managed security services) in Saudi Arabia.

BT Al Saudia Security will provide Saudi customers a locally managed world-class cybersecurity platform for protection against emerging threats, said a statement.

According to Symantec’s Internet Security Threat report, Saudi Arabia is the most “impacted” country in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region in terms of ransomware and with the emerging cyber threats, the need to get secured is ever-growing. Organisations of all sizes, in all industries are struggling to secure their most critical assets.

Martin Sutherland, CEO of BT Al Saudia, said: “Being one of the top managed services providers in the kingdom for nearly 30 years, we understand the challenges and pain-points of customers here.”

“BT Al Saudia is transforming in-line with the Saudi Vision 2030 to help organisations innovate and invest in the changing business environment,” he said.

“As part of a global leader and trusted brand in security, we bring our local managed security services so customers can leverage from a business-focused, cost-effective and scalable solution that evolves with their needs giving them flexibility and control while safeguarding against cyber risks,” he added.

BT Al Saudia Security offers businesses with a highly mature 24x7 detection and response capability managed by security experts to proactively detect, respond and mitigate imminent attacks safeguarding customers’ network and IT infrastructure while keeping all the logs securely within the country meeting kingdom’s rules and legislations.

These services come with the most stringent SLAs in the region, it added.

Mohammed Khedir, head of cybersecurity, said: “As cyber-attacks continue to mature, and technologies keep advancing, so should your cybersecurity approach. Unlike traditional MSSPs, who often focus on perimeter monitoring and log collection, we provide necessary business context to allow organisations to effectively assess the practical implications of a risk on its business.”

BT Al Saudia Security wraps experienced people and efficient processes around leading technologies for tailored next-generation SOC capabilities including managed security devices (Firewall/Web/IPS), endpoint protection, vulnerability management and threat intelligence.

These end-to-end managed services are coupled with consulting services to identify and protect what matters the most to businesses.

Mazen Tfaili, head of products and alliances, said: “We work with best in-class vendors to deliver solutions based on a choice of award-winning technologies to protect your sensitive corporate assets taking out concerns for any IT investments.”

“We help you simplify operations and reduce overheads with the peace of mind that you are covered against vulnerabilities 24x7 by our highly-skilled security professionals,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
