Zain, RUW launch IT project contest

Manama, April 18, 2010

Zain Bahrain has tied up with The Royal University for Women (RUW), the first private, purpose-built, international university in the Kingdom to launch an IT project competition for students.

Zain Bahrain’s corporate communications manager Samya Hussain and RUW’s VP Academic and Dean/Faculty of Information Technology Dr. Eshaa M. Al Khalifa signed the agreement in this regard.

The contest, which runs from April 20 to 22, is open to students from all private and government schools in Bahrain.

It is all about designing and creating a global website project that reflects geographical or historical significance to the Kingdom, said the duo after signing the agreement.

The contest aims to encourage students to express their love and appreciation to their country through creating the website themselves, said a statement from Zain.-TradeArabia News Service
