Batelco slashes rates for SimSim international calls

Batelco, the kingdom’s leading mobile services provider, has slashed rates for IDD (International Direct Dial) calls made through SimSim services to 24 destinations.

The promotion, which will run until January 2, 2011, caters to all prepaid packages and delivers up to 92 per cent discount.

“SimSim services offer a very convenient means of communication that enables customers of all SimSim packages (SimSim, SimSim Home, SimSim Shabab, SimSim Cool and SimSim International) to make international calls directly from their mobile phones anytime round the clock,” said Batelco Group general manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.

Batelco’s SimSim refill vouchers can be purchased from supermarkets, cold stores and authorised resellers all over the kingdom and are available in BD1, BD2, BD3, BD4, BD5, BD10, BD20 and BD30 denominations.

SimSim refill vouchers can also be purchased by sending (Simsim BDx) to 4554 from any postpaid line.

The reduced rates apply to all IDD calls made from mobile phones using SimSim services. Among the locations and reduced rates is Australia at 70 fils per minute, Canada (25 fils), Malaysia (30 fils), Sri Lanka (60 fils), Thailand (35 fils), UK (76 fils), USA (25 fils), and Pakistan (45 fils).

The rate to Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE is 65 fils per minute.-TradeArabia News Service
