Ooredoo launches international flat rate offer in Oman

MUSCAT, February 16, 2015

Leading telecommunication operator Ooredoo has launched Oman’s first international flat rate (IFR) offer which will allow mobile business customers to call the top international destinations throughout the day at a flat rate of 99 baizas ($2.5) per minute, which is a saving of up to 60 per cent on standard peak time international rates.

The IFR offer has been designed to provide customers with clarity and confidence by removing the peak and off peak pricing differential to the most frequently called countries, said a statement.

Said Al Shanfari, business marketing director of Ooredoo, said: “The IFR is tailor-made for our Business Mousbak and Business Shahry customers, providing them with the freedom and comfort to simply pick up their phones and call their partners and contacts abroad without the constant worry of high bills.

“By removing  the complexities of confusing rate plans, our customers no longer need to navigate through a maze of international calling plans and can now get the best rates per-minute no matter what time of day they call or how long they talk.”

“We understand the challenges of managing international connections and bringing the world closer. As a communications provider, we are therefore changing and evolving our products and services to be smarter, easier and cost-effective to suit our customer lifestyles and needs. We are confident that our latest IFR offer will enjoy great success as we continue to raise the telecommunications bar in Oman,” said Al Shanfari.

The IFR offer will run until March 18 and will give Ooredoo Business mobile customers 99 baiza per minute calls to the top 10 most frequently called international destinations including Egypt, India, Pakistan Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United states for a monthly fee of just RO3. - TradeArabia News Service
