Ericsson unveils 7 new network solutions

Ericsson has unveiled seven new additions to its hardware, software and services solutions that help advance the digital experience, all of which will be on show at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from March 2 to March 5.

The solutions include:

•    Digital Telco Transformation

Digital Telco Transformation is a new offering that combines consulting and systems integration services with the industry’s most comprehensive operational and business support systems (OSS/BSS) portfolio. Digital Telco Transformation will ease the transition for operators seeking a new operating model to monetize the digital information, entertainment, finance and health services that customers want.

•    Expert Analytics 15.0

Ericsson Expert Analytics 15.0 is a new software suite that allows operators to predict customer satisfaction and automatically take closed-loop actions to improve it. Expert Analytics 15.0 features Ericsson’s patent-pending service level index (SLI), a customer satisfaction score that continuously captures and measures the experience for each individual user.

•    Ericsson Radio System

Ericsson introduces a generational shift with its new modular Radio System that will redefine how mobile networks are built on every level. Ericsson Radio System has a modular architecture that flexibly expands to the changing demands on the road to 5G with cutting-edge multi-standard, multi-band and multi-layer technology. It all but eliminates site acquisition issues, delivering three times the capacity density with 50 percent improvement in energy efficiency and reduces total cost of ownership by 20 percent.

•    Router 6000 Series

Ericsson introduces its first router for backhaul and aggregation, which combines IP transport and radio. The Router 6000 series meets the need for high-performance backhaul and precise synchronization required today and with evolution to LTE Advanced, 5G and M2M. The Router 6000 Series addresses the end-to-end network security concerns and demand for higher operational efficiency. The advanced radio integrated transport, along with Service Provider SDN functionality and Ericsson Network Manager, enables application aware traffic engineering with plug-and-play installation.

•    Networks Software 15B

Networks Software 15B (release B, 2015) and the Ericsson Software model offer increased performance and commercial simplicity for software delivery. Networks Software 15B delivers many new capabilities in the areas of radio access, cloud & virtualization, as well as in the network management & control domain, promising to boost networks for maximum performance. Upon introduction, the new Ericsson Radio System will also operate with Networks Software 15B.

•    App Experience Optimization

App Experience Optimization is a new service that takes optimization to the next level by allowing operators to improve the end user app experience. It enables operators to consider all aspects of network performance, while keeping up to date with the latest developments in the ever-changing app ecosystem, as well as regional variations in usage patterns and behaviours.

•    Media Delivery Network

Media Delivery Network is a highly evolved and unique software solution and services set, designed to allow operators to participate in the media value equation in a sustainable and profitable way. The new evolution of Ericsson’s MDN provides a business enabler framework which combines a set of technologies to enable greater network efficiency, enhanced quality of experience and value-added services. – TradeArabia News Service
