The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) Bahrain held a two-day training course recently for its staff at the headquarters on the subject of ‘Information Security Awareness.’

The course was aimed at informing staff members with the latest best practices to safeguard them and their workplace from breaches of security, said a statement.

The course covered advice and guidelines to follow in order to avoid such breaches that can either occur on their computers such as  phishing, hacking and viruses or risks of leaving themselves exposed to other malicious attacks due to easy access of information , which was also supplemented by real life examples and statistics.

Presenting for the authority were Niranjan Acharya , Bader Kamal and Sohaib Amin of Stride IT consulting, a full service information technology consulting firm based in Bahrain. - TradeArabia News Service
