HTC showcases Vive at World Retail Congress

DUBAI, UAE, April 12, 2016

Smartphone maker HTC is showcasing its virtual reality suite HTC Vive at the World Retail Congress, starting today at the Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, till April 14.

HTC has worked with Engage Works and Start Group to create a retail-focused B2B and B2C demonstration at the event, according to a company statement.

Located at the Flux innovation lounge, HTC endeavours to give brands the opportunity to explore the most innovative ways to launch and maintain stronger connections with their audiences.

“Today, shoppers are on the lookout for better, more personalised, immersive experiences. They want convenience and conviviality, and they want it all delivered seamlessly,” the company said.

HTC has worked with thousands of developers and partners to create VR content across a wide spectrum of sectors; from gaming and entertainment to health, automotive, retail and education, the statement added.

Earlier, HTC and over 15 Vive partners showcased VR applications at CES 2016. Leading automotive manufacturer Audi created a premium retail experience where consumers can explore their dream car with virtual reality, and Dassault Systemes, a 3D-experience company, showcased how it is developing the future of 3D product design in VR. – TradeArabia News Service
