The Indian Pavilion at the Dubai Global Village is set to mark the UAE National Day in grand style with a host of activities including special dance and musical shows and a performance by India’s Vilas Nayak, the leading speed painting artist in Asia.

Nayak is known for his unique style of painting to the accompaniment of music. He has been mesmerising the audience world over creating magic on canvas by painting a 5 foot 4 inch portrait within a span of 5 minutes.

He loves to draw phenomenal portraits of people, which he calls Hues N Tunes. The winner of 'Best Innovative Act in India.' Nayak has also showcased his talent on international platforms such as Asia's Got Talent, 'India's Got Talent' and Got Talent World Stage Live!

Hailing from a small town called Ujjire near Mangalore, India, Vilas started painting at the age of 3. Soon, his hobby of painting turned into a passion and Vilas won his first award at the age of 5.

His flair for painting did not come in the way of his academics, where he was a rank holder in his
university. Multitalented Vilas was also a badminton champion in his school and college days.

In 2010, he quit his HR job in a multinational company to make his passion a fulltime career, and has since traveled the world to showcase his talent.

A philanthropist by nature, Vilas has raised over a million dollars in charity by selling his paintings from live shows at high profile events. Inspired by music and nature, Vilas Nayak is truly exceptional with his brush with speed and accuracy.

He enjoys creating paintings of world figures and celebrities such as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Mother Teresa, Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, as well as of characters such as The Joker, Gabbar Singh.
