Feng shui expert at home show

Dubai, April 21, 2008

Visitors to the Arabian home show, Al Bayt Al Arabie, will learn how to create a healthy home when they meet renowned feng shui expert Proshat Sarablou.

Feng shui, which literally translated means ‘wind water’, is a 3,000-year-old ancient Chinese science centred around five elements – water, wood, fire, earth and metal – which builds and designs the environment, structure and placement of objects in the home to create positive energy.

Visitors at Al Bayt Al Arabie, which runs alongside The Bride Show Dubai, will have the opportunity to discuss how to change their life and create better health, prosperity and harmony in their homes with ‘wellbeing architect’ Proshat Sarablou.

“Feng shui aims to achieve strength, harmony and balance,” said Sarablou.  “To reach these aims it considers locations, materials, proportions, shapes and orientation and this consideration can be used to improve different parts of life.”

Sarablou’s feng shui paintings will be available for sale at the exhibition and she will also offer advice on how they should be hung according to the feng shui principles, based on the individual and the direction of their home.

Sarablou will also discuss and explain the art of feng shui to The Bride Show visitors in The Experience Zone, a dedicated demonstration area in Hall 2 of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre on April 24 and April 26, both at 5.30 pm.

On the last day of the show, after discussing how images in the home affect the mind and answering questions from the audience, she will announce the competition winner for a thorough one-on-one feng shui consultation.

Visitors can enter the competition throughout the four-day event at the ‘Infinity 8’ stand at Al Bayt Al Arabie.

“This is a great opportunity for our visitors to have another perspective on how to decorate their home.  Feng shui is a very old and respected art and can help provide the inspiration to make your home feel perfect,” said Daphne Cota, exhibition manager of Al Bayt Al Arabie.

Al Bayt Al Arabie will also feature a dedicated art area, ‘The Gallery’, which will feature a range of work by local and international artists, all available to purchase at the exhibition.

For those feeling creative, an urban DIY art studio, supplied by local gallery The Jam Jar, will be taking part in the event and encouraging visitors to try their own hand at the brush.  With painting supplies, canvases, and inspiration on hand, visitors can bring home their own individually created artwork.

Al Bayt Al Arabie runs alongside The Bride Show Dubai and Women’s Healthcare, making the exhibition a tour de force for women in the UAE who enjoy fashion, luxury and good living in one place.

All three exhibitions are open daily from 2.30 pm to 10.30 pm.  Entry fee is Dh10 per person per day. – TradeArabia News Service
