Al Rabie eyes Asian beverage market

Al Rabie Saudi Foods, a pioneering producer of dairy products and juices in Saudi Arabia, took part in the '2nd annual Food News Juice Asia Seminar in Mumbai, to identify new opportunities created by beverage industry growth, globally and in Asia.

One of the largest juice manufacturers in the Middle East, Al Rabie, presented a strategic plan on food and beverage industry in the Middle East and also discussed the high growth trends of the global beverage industry at the seminar.

The seminar, which included sessions on imports into the European Union, pesticide residues, food contact materials and contaminants, also provided participants with updates on the latest international standards being applied to maintain juice quality and safety.

The juice industry structure distribution channels in Asia were also highlighted, with analytical techniques and quality assurance in the beverage industry key topics.

Monther Al Harthi, Al Rabie Saudi Foods general manager, discussed several issues on identifying and measuring the consumption of juices and beverages for each of the concerned countries in the Middle East.

He also highlighted the future trends and raw material used for the production of beverages in addition to the affecting factors played by the customers, corporations and governments in the development of this industry.

"The Seminar clearly demonstrated how we can use the latest techniques to provide the quality assurance your customers need. Within some markets many raw juice materials are still tight," he pointed out.

"We can assess the continuing development of juice production in Asia; and also gain a solid understanding of juice trends shaping the beverage industries in countries such as India, China, Japan and Thailand," he observed.
