Domotex show prepares for bigger turnout
Dubai, November 25, 2008
Domotex Middle East, the dedicated carpets and floor coverings exhibition in the Mena region, has made extensive preparations to accommodate the increased turnout of trade exhibitors and visitors.
The event will be held in Dubai from May 12 to 14, 2009, in a bid to fit perfectly within the region's business calendar.
Organisers Deutsche Messe, expect exhibition space to be sold out because of the ideal timing, and also as a result of the momentum gained by Domotex Middle East 2008, which saw a four per cent increase in exhibitors and a two per cent increase in visitor footfall.
The second edition of Creative Flooring and the newly held Designers Corner, which were much appreciated by both exhibitors and visitors, will be extended for the 2009 exhibition, while the APID Flooring Seminar will be introduced for the first time at Domotex Middle East 2009, said an official.
“The feedback from both exhibitors and visitors has been positive. The market opportunities stay very promising driven by the continuous growth of construction activities,” said Angela Schaschen, MD of Deutsche Messe Branch Dubai.
Creative Flooring will demonstrate how the newest techniques can be used to lay a hotel and office floor. Professionals from the UK will again be presenting and discussing floor laying skills.
The Designers Corner is the event for interior designers and architects to see the latest designs in flooring. The latest projects will be shown in the Designers Lounge and seminars will address the hottest topics in interior design.
The American University in Dubai and the Association for Professional Interior Designers (Apid) are the official supporters of Designers Corner.
Over 100 professional interior designers are expected to attend the APID Flooring Seminar at the event.
Domotex Hannover will take place from January 17 to 20 while Domotexasia/Chinafloor will be held in Shanghai from March 24 to 26.-TradeArabia News Service
