Business networking site offers new features

London, May 13, 2009

MeettheBoss.com, a major business networking service, has unveiled a new and improved version of its site, offering increased functionality and features.

The improvements are specifically launched to aid all professionals, says Spencer Green, CEO of MeettheBoss.com. The site was  first launched for the financial services sector in Q3 of 2008.

'Credit isn’t the only casualty of the crunch: time is another scarce resource for executives, they need immediate value when online,’’ said Green. Reports show he is right with 200,000 executives flooding to his business site for answers and 27,000 of them from the UAE alone.

“Despite the economic downturn, the Middle-East is set for growth this year, and the world is looking at the region through MeettheBoss.com,’ said John Funnell, chief press officer, MeettheBoss.com

MeettheBoss.com 2.0 has acted on the feedback from its core users to make sure that their time ‘on site’ is maximized. “We have added the functionality they wanted and kept the best of what we already offered: instant access to a network of your peers,” said Harlan Davis, one of the site’s directors.

Rolling out with the new version is an upgraded version of MeettheBossTV, the online television channel dedicated to business leaders.

Members can pick up leadership lessons and business learning from: Vinton Cerf, vice president of Google and ‘father’ of the Internet; Werner Vogels, CTO and vice president for online retail giant and web services supremo, Amazon; Manfred Fitzgerald, head of brand and design and super-sportscar manufacturer Lamborghini; Gary Steel, EVP and head of Human Resources at engineering giant ABB, and; Tony Hsieh, CEO of US retail rocket, Zappos.com and perhaps the sharpest customer service innovator in America today, a statement said.

Amongst the site's other new features are free video roundtable functionality, a fully searchable whitepaper module, and most importantly, ‘smartwords’ – an intelligent spine around which the whole site sits.

“MeettheBoss.com was built on an ever-expanding database of keywords, dedicated to specific industries,” explains Harlan. “A very cool new central console ‘feeds’ members specific content, people, and broadcasts based on their activity across the site – from the weather, to tweets, industry blogs, contacts, and news from the individual users favourite newspaper. Smartwords means you get everything in one place, quickly and easily. And if you want to connect with a network of your peers, or join in a peer-led discussion group, well, you can do that too. It’s the ultimate aggregator.” - TradeArabia News Service
