Dubai, May 16, 2011

Memac Ogilvy, a leading communications agency in the Middle East, has opened a major creative craft skills workshop in Dubai today (May 16).

Around 80 creatives from Memac Ogilvy will participate in the four sessions of the three-day workshop.

The sessions are aimed at further improving their ability to enhance advertising and communications ideas through innovative art direction, for art directors, as well as developing creative writing skills, for copywriters, a statement said.

“By exposing our people to the latest trends in creative thinking and craft from D&AD, the most admired and respected creative body, the objective is to further raise the standard of creative excellence at Memac Ogilvy,” said Eddie Moutran, chairman and CEO of Memac Ogilvy.

“We could have held this creative event in any city around the MENA region where we have offices but we chose Dubai because it is a hub for the entire Middle East region and beyond. It is our intention to conduct this seminar annually and the next one will be in another city” added Moutran.

Trainers Jon Sayers and Alex Taylor from D&AD, a premier creative body dedicated to the advancement of the creative industry, will fly in from London for the event, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
