Urvan crosses 1,000 units milestone

Dubai, December 16, 2007

Gulf sales of Nissan’s Urvan have surpassed a significant milestone with over 1,000 units sold in November this year, for the first time.

Across the GCC, Nissan’s national sales companies sold a total of 1,022 Nissan Urvans, demonstrating its strong appeal in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) market.

“Businesses across the region are looking for reliable commercial vehicles that are economical, comfortable and also convenient. These businesses have found everything they need in the Nissan Urvan. This is clearly proven by Nissan and its National Sales Companies exceeding sales of 1,000 units a month in the region,” said Reza Alavi, head of the Light Commercial Vehicle Business Unit at Nissan Middle East.

“Nissan Urvan annual sales have been consistently rising over the past few years and this month is a record achievement. This performance represents a 50 per cent increase compared to last year's average monthly sales.” added Alavi.

The Nissan Urvan offers unique features that offer significant economic benefits as well as more comfort, flexibility, convenience, safety and better performance than its competitors. It is the ideal business partner for transporting passengers and cargo in superior comfort, cost-efficiency and convenience, he said.

The Nissan Urvan is available in four options – a luxury 12 passenger microbus, a standard 15 passenger microbus, a six passenger Half Panel Van (HPV) or as a three passenger van with large and versatile carrying capacity. – TradeArabia News Service
