Mazda 6 drives into Oman

Mazda 6 has been launched in Oman, adding an air of excitement in the automotive segment of the country.

The launch of the vehicle, not only in Muscat but all across Oman -including. Ibra, Ibri, Barka, Jalan Bani bu Ali and Salalah - has zipped right into the hearts of discerning motorists in the country, the company said in a statement.

Created in line with Mazda’s ‘Zoom Zoom’ philosophy, the five-speed activematic transmission in the car incorporates active adaptive shift (AAS) control, which has been highly praised in Mazda’s flagship sports car, the RX-8, the company said.

The control system automatically selects gears not only in accordance with the upward or downward slope of the road by means of a slope-control function but also in accordance with its evaluation of the road’s twistiness and the driver’s intentions, thereby realising the same linear, lively feel as a manual transmission’s, it added.
