Xtreme launches new line of GPS devices

Xtreme has launched its latest line of Global Positioning System (GPS) Navigational Devices, the XTGPS/NS-50 and the XTGPS/NS-43.

The newest additions to Xtreme’s growing portfolio of GPS-enabled products have been preloaded with the latest GCC maps from Tele Atlas, one of the world's largest map companies, which can be updated for free for two years.

The XTGPS/NS-50 comes in a five-inch TFT Touch Screen Panel, while the XTGPS/NS-43 has a 4.3-inch touch screen. Both devices have a sleek and compact design that can easily be attached to any vehicle.

Each unit offers a high-sensitivity GPS receiver that operates in 30 channels accompanied by a Multi-Language OSD Menu that has Arabic language support. Users will find it easy to navigate with key features like turn-by-turn driving directions, an enhanced POI database and easy-to-enter postcodes, city and address search.

Powered by Mireo’s Black Edition software, the XTGPS units are further equipped with an SD/MICRO SD card expansion slot for additional map loading, an MP3/MP4 multi-media system, picture and document viewer and Bluetooth functionality to make calls hands free.

The new XTGPS devices, which are available in black, grey, blue and red, have an internal 64 MB SD RAM and a 512 MB Internal ROM, and support MP3, WMA audio files and AVI, MP4, Mpeg, ASF, ASX, WMV, 3GP video playback.

A 2.5/ 3.5mm mini jack slot is included for headphone use. The system runs on Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 and is powered by an SiRF Atlas 3 CPU at 372 MHz, while memory slots allow SD/MICROSD card attachments of 4GB for the XTGPS/NS-43 and 8GB for the XTGPS/NS-50. The devices come with a rechargeable 1450mAh lithium-poly battery.

Sold in more than 20 countries, Xtreme products are equipped with state-of-the-art technology that delivers maximum efficiency and reliability and optimum performance.
