Hertz adds record 2,000 new vehicles

Dubai, October 24, 2010

Leading car rental firm Hertz UAE said it has added 2,000 new vehicles to its fleet as part of its regional expansion plan. With this Hertz now has over 8,500 vehicles in its fleet across the emirates.

Announcing the record purchase, Nigel Johnson, managing director of Hertz UAE said the company leads the UAE market in providing the newest cars to its customers.

“We are delighted to have reached the 2,000 vehicles purchased milestone, which is a record year for us and, we suspect, for the UAE market as a whole. This is way ahead of expectations and is a result of increased customer demand for the newest and best quality vehicles. We intend to continue this strategy for our customers,” Johnson said.

'Reaching this number, and being the first UAE rental company to do so, ensures that Hertz customers, in both corporate and leisure markets, continue to receive excellent quality vehicles,' he noted.

Hertz is the continuous exception to car rental operators in the UAE by managing replacement cycles of all vehicles on 18 months at the latest, which is at least half the length of most competitors,' he pointed out.

This significantly different experience gives customers the latest, safest and most reliable vehicles ranging from saloon cars, luxury sedans, four wheel drives and commercial vehicles, he added.

Johnson said: “We believe customers hiring a car want to drive with confidence with an excellent quality vehicle, the best possible safety and reassurance of great customer service. We want to play our part in driving standards forward in the UAE.

To mark the feat, Hertz is offering customers a special 20 per cent discount on new monthly rental bookings in addition to a full tank of fuel absolutely free till the year end.

'The exciting rental offer from Hertz is despite the 35fils per litre fuel price hike this year, said Johnson.-TradeArabia News Service
