350 exhibitors for OGS 2007

Dubai, December 1, 2007

The 14th Arab Oil & Gas Show (OGS), the premier onshore and offshore oil, gas and petrochemical exhibition, is gearing up to showcase a full spectrum of solutions for the exploration, extraction, refinement and transportation of hydrocarbon reserves.

The move comes in response to market demand generated by capital investments made by energy rich Middle Eastern countries to strengthen their energy infrastructure, said an official spokesman.

OGS 2007 has already attracted 350 plus pre-registered exhibitors, setting a new participation record for the show. The event will be held from December 4 to 6, 2007, concurrently with the third Arab Instrumentation and Automation (AIA) exhibition targeting instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory buyers and suppliers.

“There has been a discernable market trend towards improving extraction and refinement through new techniques and technologies in oil and gas industry sectors. It has become quite obvious that there are finite energy resources that can be located and used, and investors are trying to extract deposits with maximal efficiency,” said managing director of show organisers IC&E Anselm Godinho.

“The Oil and Gas Show 2007 will present a strong showcase of tools and equipment that can minimise the wastage associated with extraction and refinement processes,” he added.

Over 25 new gas projects have been announced in the UAE alone, with an additional 10 in petrochemicals, 20 in petroleum and another 10 projects related to pipeline development.

The Saudi Arabian Market is hosting 122 projects in petrochemicals, petroleum, hydrocarbons, with an additional 10 in pipeline development. Qatar is developing 67 projects in various energy sectors, and Oman is following with 58.

OGS 2007 has developed into a powerful forum to source the building blocks for upcoming projects in hydrocarbon exploration, extraction, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons. The show will also provide easy access to all the materials and technologies for the implementation and maintenance of pipelines that are a key factor in ensuring profitability of existing and future projects.- TradeArabia News Service
