Oil tankers loadings normal at Basra
London, March 31, 2008
Oil tankers are loading normally from Iraq's Basra oil terminal and have been doing so since a bomb attack on a feeder pipeline last Thursday, a shipping agent in the region said on Monday.
'As of this morning (local time) there have been no reports of delays, congestion at the terminal following the blast, and neither were there any delays to oil tankers loading in the aftermath,' the agent said.
'However, there might have been a drop off in the amount of crude in the large offshore storage tanks that the pipelines supply, because of the sabotage, and that might have curtailed flows this morning,' the agent said, adding it was unclear what the export loading flow was.-Reuters
