Qatargas trains 6, 7 LNG output sold

, September 30, 2010

Future liquefied natural gas output from Qatargas' trains 6 and 7 has already been sold, Qatar Oil Minister Abdullah Al-Attiyah told Reuters on Thursday.

Qatar is the world's biggest exporter of LNG, or gas cooled to liquid form so it can be transported by tankers.

Al-Attiyah was in Tokyo to attend a bilateral economic meeting with Japan.

Qatargas Chief Operating Officer Ahmed Al-Khulaifi said on Wednesday that train 6 is expected to start loading in late November or early December while train 7 is set to start in February 2011. - Reuters
