Project...to support future development of Jazan Economic City

Alderley to supply metering systems for Saudi project

JEDDAH, January 21, 2015

Alderley, a leading engineering company operating in the oil, gas, petrochemical and water industry, has won a contract to supply nine oil metering systems and small volume provers for a project in Saudi Arabia.

The Jazan Refinery Package 14, Marine Terminal Project is expected to support the future development of Jazan Economic City, said a statement.

The deal was awarded by the Hanwha Engineering and Construction, it said.

The additional refined products from the new facility will satisfy the growth in domestic demand within Saudi Arabia.

Alderley scope of supply is for nine metering systems that will utilise turbine metering technology to each measure a specific liquid: HS diesel, vacuum gas oil, naphtha, MTBE (MethylTert-Butyl Ether), fuel oil, gasoline, ULS (Ultra Low Sulphur) diesel, benzene and paraxylene.

Each of the systems will be supplied with a fast loop system, auto sampling system, small volume prover and associated control systems.

Adrian Phillips, managing director, said: “Alderley are pleased to be able to support the Saudi industrial infrastructure by providing vital equipment for the measurement of hydrocarbons.”

The systems will be engineered, designed and manufactured at Alderley’s Dubai facilities with support from our local Saudi facility in Dammam.

The metering systems have a planned delivery of September this year. - TradeArabia News Service
