Bechtel rigging expert to address Dubai conference

DUBAI, September 29, 2015

A top rigging expert is set to address the 'Stability in Lifting Arrangements' at a conference in Dubai, UAE.
 
The LEEA Lifting and Rigging Conference Middle East will take place on December 14 and 15 at the Shangri-La Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
 
Keith Anderson, chief rigging engineer at Bechtel and the programme manager of Industrial Training International’s (ITI) Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering Program, will present covering design considerations, unstable arrangements, static equilibrium, levelling the load and more.
 
Bechtel has a presence across the world, including offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, where International Bechtel Co is based. 
 
A recent flagship project includes the Jubail Industrial City in Saudi Arabia. 
 
Bechtel has managed the Jubail project, located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, since it began in the mid-1970s.
 
The conference will include an overview of the association’s new diploma-level training course on mobile cranes. 
 
The Middle East, a hotbed of oil and gas activity, is the largest market for a course that will be a key topic of conversation during the upcoming conference.
 
Other headline speakers include Kevin Crilly, regional manager—east and senior technical officer, LEEA; Anthony Culshaw, senior design engineer, Modulift; and Beniel Sureshkumar, senior inspection engineer in the heavy lift department, Consolidated Contractors Company.
 
Meanwhile, BlokCam, Wolffkran, the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and ZT Safety Systems will also submit content to a world-class agenda. - TradeArabia News Service
