Iran's power output capacity hits 78,000MW

TEHRAN, November 29, 2017

Iran's power generation capacity has increased by 381MW to reach 77,987MW following the connection of a number of power plants to the country's national grid over the past two weeks, a report said.

During the period, the first units of two combined-cycle power plants in Behbahan and Parand have been commissioned with each generating 160MW of electricity, Iran Daily reported, citing Tasnim News Agency.

A distributed generation power plant with a capacity to produce 61MW of electricity has also been connected to the national grid.
