Amouage offers gift sets

Manama, September 24, 2007

Amouage has launched special gift sets with a limited edition attar in Bahrain to celebrate Ramadan and Eid.

The two gift sets comprise Amouage’s hallmark and best selling fragrance, a 50ml bottle of Gold Man or 50ml bottle of Gold Woman, along with a limited edition house-blend attar spray aptly called “Farah”, meaning happiness, in a 30 ml spray bottle.

Farah is an elegant Oriental blend of the finest essential oils and oudh from around the world

“The introduction of special gift sets and our limited edition attar sprays is an integral part of our vision to create a global luxury brand with very special and rare products, under which the grand Arabian tradition of exotic and beautiful perfumes can be presented to the outside world in a more international context,” said David Crickmore, Amouage CEO.

“This Ramadan, Amouage presents gift sets in the form of innovative keepsakes that customers can cherish and use for a lifetime, which is a wonderful way of celebrating this very spiritual and intimate season in the Islamic calendar.”

Under the direction of Amouage creative director Christopher Chong, Farah’s top notes are a blend of rose and spices with oudh oil.

Saffron adds a delicacy in the heart note and the well-rounded and rich base is provided by amber and sandalwood notes.

Amouage’s Gold Woman is a powerful floral fragrance made for the most special and luxurious evening occasions, rich in sophistication and splendor with rock-rose, lily of the valley and silver frankincense in the top notes, myrrh, orris and jasmine in the heart notes rounded by notes of musk, cedarwood and sandalwood in the base.

Gold Men is an authoritative and elegant evening chypre, also with rock-rose and silver frankincense in the top notes and myrrh and orris in the heart notes, to complement Gold for women Gold Men is given a rich, warm sumptuous base the addition of notes of patchouli and oakmoss.

The Gold fragrance and the Farah attar spray are presented in a luxurious wooden box with a rich, two-tone piano gloss and cherry finish exterior which includes a removable inner base in a soft, suede-effect lining.

The box can be kept on display and used for many purposes such as a jewellery and accessories case, watch box, letter case or a cufflinks box, long after the fragrances are finished.

The gift sets are available at Amouage boutiques and prestigious perfumeries and department stores around the world. The epitome of luxury, Amouage has a stellar world-wide following including royals, global leaders and celebrities.

Founded 25 years ago by the Omani Royal family to sustain the millennia-old traditions of Arabian perfumery, Amouage is one of the leading luxury fragrance houses that is deeply rooted in modern Arabian opulence and creates some of the most finely crafted fragrances in the world.

The only globally distributed luxury brand from Oman, Amouage’s original distinctive bottles were created by Asprey of London.

The women’s bottle was inspired by the dome of the Ruwi Mosque in Muscat, whilst the men’s is fashioned after the Khanjar, the ceremonial Omani dagger.

Traditionally offered by the Sultan and members of the Royal family and senior Government Ministers of Oman to heads of state during official visits Amouage also has a stellar following around the world among celebrities including Marcia Cross, Randy Quaid, Kimora Simmons, Terrence Howard, Pierce Brosnan, Benjamin Bratt and Frank Lampard.
