Bahrain mulls plan to revive pearl industry

A plan to revive and showcase Bahrain’s pearl industry is being studied by councillors, a report said.
Pearl merchants, known as Tawaweesh in Bahrain, will be allowed to display their products at a new market in Muharraq as part of a scheme to revive the sector, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
