A new online service for travellers who require a visa to enter the UK is now available.

People can now apply for their visas  on visa4uk.fco.gov.uk, where an award-winning application service is available, the British Embassy said.

The embassy will accept online visa applications for all categories of UK visas.

Links to the service are available on the embassy's website ukembassy.org.bh.

The online application process ensures that a visa applicant provides all the information the embassy requires to consider it, said embassy political, Press and public affairs officer Karen El Zein.

'Applicants will be able to complete the application form online by following the step-by-step instructions, submitting the application directly to us electronically,' she said.

'Applicants, or their representatives, can then visit our visa section offices with a copy of the completed online application, one passport photo - this must meet the specifications listed under 'How to apply' - any supporting documentation required and the visa fee in Bahrain Dinars cash.'

'Those applicants who apply online will be given priority over other applicants in the Visa Section queue.

'Until further notice, the embassy will continue to accept hand written applications, which should be submitted in person at the Visa Section,' she added. TradeArabia News Service
