Starwood to open 3 new Saudi hotels

Starwood Hotels & Resorts will launch three new hotels in Saudi Arabia, increasing its portfolio to 13 hotels in the Kingdom, a report said.

A long-term management agreement was signed by the company with the Al Hokair Group to open Four Points by Sheraton Mall of Arabia in Jeddah, Four Points by Sheraton Dhahran and Aloft Riyadh, according to the Gulf News.

Presently, Starwood has 50 hotels and resorts in the region under its brands including Sheraton, Le Meridien, Westin, Four Points by Sheraton and the Luxury Collection. It is planning to double its portfolio to about 500 properties by 2013, in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
